I initially trained in the Masters Coaching and Mentoring programme at Oxford Brookes University, taught through the International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies. which gave me a solid background in some of the key professional Coaching and Mentoring fundamentals along with study and research in Psychology theories and practical application focusing on transformational coaching.
I studied with Tony Robbins through the RobbinsMadanes Institute, becoming accredited in Human Needs Psychology Coaching (Core 200) with additional accreditation as a Relationship Breakthrough Coach. It is the understanding and application of the 6 Human Needs that I extensively draw on initially to help clients identify and understand our needs which are the driving force behind our thoughts and behaviours. We all share the same 6 needs but are totally unique in how we meet them and the impact that then has on us as individuals, the people we are close to and the wider community. Clarifying the beliefs and values behind these needs creates both individual and group change as we can release and change negative habits and replace them with more positive ones.
The focus of Human Needs Psychology is of a practical inquiry into human motivation and also a compendium of effective tools and strategies for creating and sustaining individual and group change. Many of our challenges can be resolved by clarifying our beliefs, values and purposes, releasing what doesn’t serve us and replacing with those that do. Shifting our focus on to what does lie in our control, our emotions and responses helps create a commitment to the small, daily changes that can make a huge impact on our life experience and goals, both personal and professional.

From there I studied under and work with as an accredited and registered coach at www.strategicintervention.com. This is run by Robbins’ business partners, Magali and Mark Peysha and through in person and online training I am an advanced Elite Coach and Relationship Coach. Their website describes the nature of Strategic Intervention Coaching as:
Strategic Intervention is a coaching method that helps people understand why they do what they do, find empowering meanings for their life circumstances and discover how they meet their needs in positive and negative ways … which in turn helps to achieve a profound and sustainable life change.
For my specific coaching and programmes both in person and online, I also draw on the theories, tools and resources from my personal accredited and mentored training with Marci Schimoff based on her book, ‘Happy for No Reason.’
For more information on this please go to www.happyfornoreason.com
I also draw on my training in using EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique, or ‘Tapping.’ This is a technique that is best described as emotional acupuncture without the needles. This practice is scientifically researched and proven to help greatly reduce both physical and emotional negative responses and experiences in the mind and body and is particularly helpful alongside coaching as it brings to the surface the key challenges and emotions that need releasing without the need to go into the ‘story’ or origin.
